The Buick Rainier may have only been produced for one generation but it holds the unique title of being the first SUV produced by Buick since the 1920’s. It was offered only in the 5 passenger configuration but included both rear and all wheel drive models and was also offered in a more upscale CXL trim as well.
The Buick Rainier included other new features which debuted as well including the QuiteTuning sound insulation which included triple door seals, acoustic laminate glass as well as sound absorbing pads.
